Many companies claim to be “Made in the USA”, but we take a more comprehensive view of this phrase than they do:
- We are Veteran-Owned and Veteran-Operated.
- All of our coffee is roasted in the USA, and we use roasting equipment that was actually designed and built in the USA by US Engineers & Technicians.
- We actually offer coffee beans that are 100% grown, processed, roasted, and packaged in the USA, and we do so at the most reasonable price possible. And we constantly search for ways to make USA-grown coffee more accessible and affordable.
- All of the packaging materials, product labels, ink, shipping boxes, shipping labels, etc. that are used to process, package, and ship our products are actually made in the USA using USA-sourced raw materials to the greatest extent possible.
- US law allows coffee companies to claim that they are “Made in the USA” even though they are selling you beans that come from other countries, as long as the beans are roasted in the USA. We understand this law, but we feel that it is a little misleading and allows companies to use deceptive advertising practices. Many companies try to fool customers into thinking they are buying US-grown beans by labeling them things like “Hawaiian Blend” or “Puerto Rico Style” or some other such nonsense, when their product may only contain a small amount of US-grown coffee or possibly none. We tell you which of our coffees are actually grown in the USA, and we never mix US-grown and foreign grown beans.
- And, beyond just the Made-in-the-USA part, we go to great lengths to ensure that we know exactly where any non-USA coffee beans we source come from. We know exactly where the coffee was farmed, who farmed it, who milled it, and who imported it to the USA.
-
- This fact means that, when you buy our coffee, you don’t have to worry that it is providing funding to some violent drug cartel or other criminal organization. Additionally, we do our best to avoid buying coffee from any country where the farmers are not allowed to actually own the property they farm because this lack of property rights increases the vulnerability of small farmers. Generally speaking, this means we do not purchase from countries with communist governments. However, there are some non-communist countries that grow coffee, like Nigeria, where private land ownership is not allowed.
-
- Most people are unaware that the 2nd highest coffee-producing country in the world is communist (Vietnam), or that China has recently moved into coffee production at great speed and (as of 2024) is already the 13th largest producer in the world. We do not source coffee from either country.
- Please note that we realize there are fluid political situations in many developing nations (where most coffee is farmed), and we are not the ultimate assessors of geopolitics. If you feel that we should look into the situation in any country that we are sourcing from, please let us know.

- Finally, we use the United States Postal Service (USPS) for our shipping whenever possible, because we believe in supporting our nation and its infrastructure.
